Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you’ve installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it’s Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!
There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

You can download and scan your computer for free.
I wouldn’t recommend downloading any anti-virus/spyware programs that the other users posted here, it’ll just make your computer even more slower.
This will solve your computer trouble:
1. Remove any unused programs. (Click Start> Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs)
2. Now go here: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm and click on "Full Service Scan", then just follow the directions. (This is a free full service scan provided by Microsoft, so you can trust it.) Now close out of your internet browser and any other programs running so the scan can complete faster. (this scanner detects and removes viruses/spyware and other malacious software, removes invalid registry keys that are no longer in use, and defrags your hard drive)
Overall, this scanner is very useful and works, you should notice a difference when it completes and when you restart your computer.
Oh yeah, also make sure your computer stays up-to-date by using Windows Update.
System runing slow…
as the number or program increase, ur system run slower coz the is many thing (programs) need to be handle… is a small problem…
basically upgrade ur RAM (random access memory) may help…
but my advice is first the thing you need to do is defragment ur C drive (Windows programs)
little tips for u.. download a setup called "Diskeeper" (defragment tool) & run it to rearrange ur files to make ur PC run faster…
used the link to download the "diskeeper setup"
Try :
+ Uninstall all unnecessary softwares
+ Start > Run > type msconfig > StartUp tab > Uncheck all unecessary items.
+ Use Ccleaner http://ccleaner.com
Buy a decent security suite.
Only novice users use the free stuff. They have no idea.
Press "Window key + r" or just go to start -> Run……
than type "msconfig"
you will get "System Configuration Utility " program.
Switch the tab to "Startup" and uncheck all the programs.
this will increase speed.
if you use any antivirus than u suffer a lot in memory.
you can also use memory management softwares.
"Memory Ram Turbo " is very userfriendly.
Last option is to buy a new RAM.
tush
try to download tuneup utilitties 2008..defragment your registry with that software..
A good start would be to scan for malware, AVG is a great free anti virus to use. Also Ad aware and spy bot are good for spy ware removal.
Maybe you need a little more RAM.

get a fire wall…lol how old is your pc first of all. umm download wise cleaner ans wise reg cleaner for your pc then auslogics disk/reg defrag might help
As the biggest of the problems seem to be associated with Spyware, for starters, download, update and run a full scan using the following product:
http://www.superantispyware.com/
SuperAntiSpyware is exceptional and will remove the majority of difficult Trojans and Worms, not just the easy ones.
go to your start menue and selct run…type in msconfig then select start up tab
A wndow will pop up showing you all the needless programs comeing up every time you turn your computer on.
Start unchecking those needless programs that are slowing you down then click ok, You will need to reboot for the changes to take effect.
Allso defrg often,do your disk clean ups weekly.
Cleaning your registry will allso help you speed your computer up.
Good luck
have you deleted your browsing history, start>control panel>internet options>delete, delete all option, tick box for add ons and answer yes, do that every nite when you log of, only take a few minutes, and run antispyware for third party cookies.
