Clean Registry and Optimize PC
Ken, I would take out the sound card just to see if your computer goes back to normal. If your computer is okay after taking it out you’ll know for sure that’s what the problem was. It could also be a virus, or registry issue but I would try the hardware first and then go from there.
If it is virus or registry related, I’m a big fan of AVG for anti-virus software i I also like Regcure and Registryfix for registry tools. Best of luck!
Did you remember to disable any on-board sound chip, when you installed the sound card?
Two devices trying to process the same information, at the same time, would cause lots of delays. It could also effect other devices trying to get processor time.
