Someone told me to delete my cookies? Then someone told me to download something that will "clean up my computer" to delete stuff t make it run faster. I just use it for surfing the net so there is nothing important on here.
Surfing the net can also slow the PC down, as it involves spyware and virus infections. Scan with good malware protection programs and get rid of them
When you surf temporary files get created in the background, they get accumulated and if they arent deleted over time, tend to slow the PC down. Run a diskcleanup which can be accessed from Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Diskcleanup
After the cleanup run the diskdefragmenter, which helps to give a boost to the speed and prevent drive problems.
install an antivirus(NOD32-you can buy it or download the free ‘cracked’ one);if u already have one,DON’T install the second without uninstalling the previous.
activate the windows firewall(right click on icon connection,-open network connection-right click on your active connection-properties-advanced tab-protect my computer…select it!-ok.
periodically delete files and cookies in temp folder, like this:
in internet explorer-tools-internet options-general tab-delete cookies,and delete files(‘delete all offline content’selected)and confirm.
P.S.:careful with cracked nod 32-may contain virus-best analyze it with another antivirus before installing on ur pc
—if u have a dial-up connection,(52k)this might be the reason
of your low speed…—
if this doesn’t work,reinstall windows,install the nod32 and u’r done

Check your system "Microsoft Configuration Utility" and see just how much stuff is booting with Windows and is running in the background. When you have this happening, it uses up way to much of your system resources. To do this, read the following.
To control what starts with Windows:
Click Start and then Run. (Vista – Start>All Programs>Accessories>Run). In the run box, type "msconfig" without the quotes and then hit "Enter". This will open the System Configuration Utility. Click the "Startup" tab. Now remove the check mark from any and all programs that you “do not” want to start or "boot" with Windows. Now click apply and then click OK.
You will need to restart your system. When the system starts you will see a box stating that you used the Config. utility, put a check in "Don’t show this box at startup".
That should do it.
Do not remove any check marks from your security software. You want it to load with your operating system. As for the rest of the programs that are set to load with the OS, you will just have to experiment. Stuff like Adobe Reader, Gama loaders, Word, etc, can be turned off. They do not need to load with the OS, you can just click on their icons to launch these programs.
Do a computer disc defragment, go to start, accessories, click tools, click disc defragment and follow instructions (this will take some time do not stop or run any thing else).
Then remove all programs that you do not need or use from add/remove programs.
Delete all unneeded files and pictures.
Delete all temporary internet files and cookies from Internet options.
Hope this helps
Hi,
this is easy to do just download a free copy of CCleaner and then run it this will safely delete all your temp files etc, then reboot your system and start in safe mode and then defrag your hard drive to get all your free space back again, use safe mode so your screen saver etc will not effect the defrag program, you should then do this about every two weeks. hope this all helps you.
