Clean Registry and Optimize PC
You should reformat your computer every few years. It will make it dramatically faster. Do not try those software, it will not make a difference.
You can try getting more RAM, that usually provides a cheap boost. Other than that, reformat.
Reinstall your operating system, make sure you have at-least 10 GB of free space in it.
If you have not enough space then get a External HDD and store your files in it.
Get software’s like "Advanced System Care" or "Speed Up My PC" to clean & defrag your PC.
But the most important part is upgrade your hardware’s i.e; get at-least 3GB of memory, get a Quad Core processor or any i3 or better. Get a better vga card.

Your question is to complex. There are so many things that can’t cause this it would take up pages and pages to go through them all.
The quickest fix would be to run System Restore and restore your computer to a date when it was running fine.
First, make sure that hardware is not outdated, it should not be very very old or primitive. Second, your system should not be full of viruses and spuwares and then one way to speed up your system is to select a good PC optimizer and System cleaner. And, there are many ways to boost performance of your system. A rather more traditional but comprehensive appraoch is to improve hardware and software capability of your system. This approach should work for almost all conditions. You would also like to make sure that you have virus free system.
