After running several scans on my PC Dell desktop with AdAware, my PC is fully contaminated with Malware. How can I wipe out my PC clean and start fresh again? So far I’ve come across the ""Dell OS Recovery CD" and the "Driver Reset Tool" which I’ve burned from my hard drive into a CD. I am clueless as to how to get this started. Can anyone provide a step by step on how to get this started?

use the green cd that came with your machine (reinstallation cd)
once the OS has been reinstalled, use the blue cd (drivers and utilities) to install device drivers.
To reinstall windows, you need the actual OS disc (not just the OS recovery). Find which OS you have and grab the OS disc to reinstall completely (make sure you choose to format the hard drive while reinstalling windows in order for a full clean slate).
Tip:
If your computer came pre-installed with Windows and you have a sticker on your computer, you need an OEM disc (one of those OS discs that are colored with one solid color). If you bought Windows separate and installed it, you’ll need a retail disc (the ones with those cool shiny 3d labels on it). Each disc fits a specific cd key (an OEM key will not work with a retail disc and vice versa).
If you want to wipe your machine completely, meaning delete EVERYTHING on the hard drive and simply start over, all you need is your operating system disk (windows xp/vista). Just pop it in and reboot your machine and follow the instructions. This process will DELETE EVERYTHING on your hard drive so back up anything you want to keep.

what you might want to do is reinstall your operating system, formatting your harddrive in the process….
first of all your going to need a copy of your operating system
on the back of your computer there should be a sticker with your windows product key, and it should say what your version of windows is,
when you know what it is you will need the CD, this can be tricky to find but you can download it by torrents and burn it to CD (thats the hard part)
now just slip in the disc, re boot your comp and hit f12 when it first bots up, kno it will boot the CD, you will have to use the product key from the back of your pc to activate it legally,
when installing (depending on if you have windows Xp or windows vista) at some point it will ask if you wish to format your harddrive , you must click yes…..
and there you go 🙂 good as new
