   Wow HP is a rip off i could get you a new DVD drive for 30 dollars. You can find many videos on how to replace it yourself, It is no big deal to do. Here ill give a link to a good DVD drive

   If your motherboard can support SATA than use this one

   You can tell if it does buy these plugs on you motherboard that look like this

   If not you need an IDE DVD drive

   which you can tell by this ribbon like cables there should be one on your existing DVD drive
