when choosing a cleaner and other alike tools, see which takes up less space, which has more functions, which has restore ( in case the tool delete or define sth spam which you don’t think so, actually all tools can’t make sure they won’t delete sth mistakenly)
try http://www.system-tools-software.com/,
the restore function is in markedness.
I can’t help you bring back your old music, but I can tell you that it’s not CCleaner’s fault. I use CCleaner all the time and it is designed to clean your registry, such as unnecessary junk left behind after iTunes installs, but its not designed to delete things like music files. iTunes can’t find your music because you deleted it, all iTunes does when you drop a file to it is remember where that file is located, so when you click on the file to play it, the file is still where it was originally, be it your torrent folder, desktop or whatever. If you move that file somewhere else or delete it, iTunes doesn’t know what you did with it and wont be able to play it.
What I can do is tell you how to avoid this problem again. In iTunes, go to "Edit" and then "Preferences" at the bottom. From there select the "Advanced" tab on the far right and check the box that says "Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library". This will physically make a copy of any file you drop into iTunes and place it in the iTunes Music folder for you. If you do this, you can delete any of the original files in your downloaded torrents folder or what have you because iTunes has its own now. The same rules still apply though, if you move or delete a song from the iTunes Music folder it wont be able to play it.
I have been using CCleaner for a long time now, same with iTunes, I have never seen it delete music or make it so that iTunes can’t find it. I also can’t understand why it would have deleted any documents of yours…
CCleaner has a number of warnings before you delete these things, it also allows you to view the stuff its going to delete, did you not look before you deleted them? It also has a registry backup prompt before you delete anything, if you did this than you can bring that stuff back, but somehow I doubt you did.
yup When you installed cCleaner it created a restore point, boot to your system disc and go to that restore point, oh yeah after your back up and playing your music you may want to download SpyBot search and destroy, i guarantee you have downloaded a song or 2 that uses com surrogate to advertise that you are using torrents and downloading illegally
