Clean Registry and Optimize PC
there is a major driver glitch in MS Vista.
go on any of the blogs and you’ll see it.
go on the MS sight and you’ll see it, but they always tell you it’s your hardware.
I had trouble with 3 systems. the first was old enough I just gave up and gave it away (donate to a school). the second one i reinstalled xp and it works great. the third is a problem i’m having today.
I just down loaded new firmware and looking for better drivers. unfortunately the best drivers i’ve found so far are from 2006 and guess who wrote them??? MS, duh.
It sounds like you have a corrupt Windows registry entry (or entries). I would uninstall the CD/DVD-ROM driver completely, and then run a registry cleaner as a first step. If that does not work, then I would go to the MATSHITA website to find a phone # to call them. Speak with someone from their tech. department and don’t let them hang up until the issue is fixed.
