i dnt thnk tht itunes is the culprit… hdmi connection might hve loaded some drivers…
do thss n check
try running windows in safemode, n try similar conditions, if it doesnt happen, may be some kind of driver is messing up, ….
if tht doesnt help, sorry but u need to reinstall ur OS
simple to fix get windows 7
I do not believe iTunes can cause this much of a problem. If you still believe the problem is because of iTunes – I suggest that you uninstall the iTunes program which comes with QuickTime as well. Uninstall both and reboot the laptop. See if you are still having the problem. As far as I remember, iTunes preloads couple of executable programs. These should be gone when you uninstall and reboot.
Vista OS is notoriously famous for crashes and mostly due to memory(programs) management issues and the way OS handles. I have a desktop with Vista 64bit and once in a while I run into issues as well. A reboot will take care of my issues. iTunes, Quicktime, safari and other programs runs fine. Also all the 32bit programs run fine.
If not, then I would suggest that you buy Win XP which consumes less memory and manages well. I still have few machines both at work and home that are on XP and do not have such issues as I see in Vista or Win 7.
If none works for you – reformat with your original CD and reinstall Vista. But make sure to back up your data. This means you need all your original CD Software.
