   reset and choose start windows normally, it should be alright.

   hm…do you still have your OS cd’s? If so….you can just reinstall windows.

   Otherwise, maybe try http://www.bleepingcomputer.com ?

   seems to be a tricky case, mate

   from what i gather some update may have gone horribly wrong or your hard drive is failing

   please post the acer model number exact
   did the acer ship with vista or did you upgrade from xp to vista

   meantime you could make a bootdisk from another computer and mind you this for diagnostics purpose
