it used to work fine then about a week ago it started to freeze. i thought it had a virus so i tried to run a scan and it just froze again. i went on it again today and it is still freezing, i ran windows malicious software removal tool and it didnt find anything. When it freezes i have to restart it incorrectly then it comes up with a thing and asks if i want to start StartUp Repair. I do this, its fine, then freezes again and the cycle returns. Please help. I’m really worried.

ok tiki heres whats going on
Your Malicious Software didnt find anything because Malware doesnt cause your copmuter to freeze all malware is is a tracking file that records your info (bank account passwords etc.)
Its most likely is a Virus ( a rhino or trojan Virus to be specific) these viruses are designed to open programs that you didnt command, block you from accessing files, and some of them are incoded to find your virus protection software and keep you from accessing it (which may be why your virus protection software froze on you)
When it all comes down to it here’s what you need to do.
Hold down the Power Button until your Computer turns off
Hit the power button again to make it turn on again
Pending on who your manufacture is youll get a message during the start up process saying windows didnt shut down right and it will continue to run the start up and somewhere during he process it will say startup options F8 when you see a screen any where during this process that says F8 hit the F8 Key immediately once there it will give you a list of start up options and one of them will be start windows in safemode.
Ok when you get to safemode you will be able to acess all files whether theres a virus or not therefore you can run a virus scan in safemode and it will detect anything thats up with you CPU
I hope this helps
Try to do a system restore. I don’t know if this will solve your problem unless it’s a software problem.
start/accessories/system tools/system restore
Follow the instructions to a restore point before your computer went crazy. Don’t panic if it takes awhile.
The most common cause of computer freezes is a corrupt registry.
Most likely your registry is bloated and overstuffed with an assortment of useless pieces of data. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There will be bits of programs which were not completely uninstalled, parts of programs which were never completely installed, fragments of miscellaneous data, useless drivers, and a multitude of other bits and pieces.
The answer is to clean your registry and remove all the material which is not needed.
