I am an IT Tech. Depending on your Operating System a disc is relatively easy to find. What will matter is whether or not you still have your 25-character key code that belongs to your pc. I only suggest using the disc if your intentions are to re-install or repair the operating system. Otherwise, if it is simply a matter of removing files and programs that you no longer use, I would recommend using the disk cleanup utility or add/remove program utility. Know what it is that you are deleting. Always create a system restore point first. Let me know if you need assistance. If you have Windows Messenger installed, it is quite easy to use the remote assistance feature and have someone or myself help direct you.
xp disc won’t help you on this. your best bet is to have someone clean it up for you. if you try and don’t know what you’re doing you can cause more trouble than you really want to think about. depending on how bad it is it will cost anywhere from one to three hours to do.
What company is the computer because if it is hp you need a special reboot disk
Did you try system restore? I have an HP and you can restore your system to factory settings without losing your important files.
