How to use System Restore to restore Windows XP
If Windows XP does not start
if u have problems..u could im me..i have something that might help
get it to a tecnitian asap…or u can install another os partially with the old one and backup the files….as i can guess,ur not so experienced….so DO NOT….i repeat DO NOT try to mess with the existing o.s. as its most volnurable to u for the data left!!!and mind 1 thing….never use beta VERSION OF ANYTHING…its just like testing new products on rats or other animals….and ur tablet became the 1 this time LUCKLY!!!!!leave a trace at my mail soon…bondhon007@spectrabd.net……talk then…
It could be the user data has been corrupted.
You can try Two methods:
Case a) Boot in safe mode, log in as Administrator. You should be able to recover your files on the disk. Generally speaking they are located inside the path c:\documents and settings\<username>\desktop or c:\c:\documents and settings\<username>\documents
You favorites folder should be inside c:\documents and settings\<username>\favorites
Beware the email, if you use outlook the storage folder could everywhere 🙁
Case b) you can’t login even as an administrator. That’s bad: start with the Windows XP installation cd, and install the system again, WITHOUT formatting.
Be aware: some laptops/notebook have Customized Cds that wipe the disk totally clean. Read carefully the instructions.
If you can reinstall the system, try browsing the paths mentioned before, you file should be there.
Backup and reinstall, this time formatting everywhere.
Good luck and be careful!
restart the pc as it is restarting keep tapping the (F8) key fast then your come to a munu move up to where it says safemode then hit the enter key then it will go to windows xp then hit the enter key again , then your see a lot of tex on screen just wait till it goes to the user account screen then click on the admin , user account then the pc wil load up your see a safemode box just click on ok then go to start / control panel then click on add / remove at the top of the add and remove box , tick the box show updates then look in the list for
mediaplayer 11beta.
click on that then click on remove unstall it then close off the control panle and restart the pc and it will load up to the yuser account screen then you login ,
1. Get a USB 2.5 hard drive enclosure.
2. Remove the hard drive from the laptop and connect to the enclosure.
3. Copy your files to another computer for backup.
4. Place the hard drive back on your laptop and reinstall Windows.
