I cant get my laptop to connect to the internet. I use an inspiron 1525 that gets it’s connection through a wire from another computer on the network. It seems to connect but when it does it says "connected to: Unidentified network limited or no connectivity".
I tried with all the anti malware and firewalls off still nothing. Recently I got infected with system security 2009 BUT I got it out ran safe mode and used a registry cleaner and anti malware to clean it up. That whole time I was in safe mode I had net access but once I restarted the comp after the changes I could no longer connect to my network successfully. Please help me!! how do I fix this Problem????

To clarify, you are connecting your laptop to another computer, which in turn, is connected to the internet?
You will get that error until you set up a network with the device that has the direct connection.
Assuming you have Windows XP, you need to go to "Control Panel" then on the lest side, you can click on "Set up a small office or home network". Windows will prompt you to run the wizard, say yes. It is very simple and self explanatory, but there are two things to pay attention to.
First, make sure the device with the connection is turned on and has it’s connection active before starting.
Second, you will come to a screen asking how the device (your laptop) is going to connect to the internet. MAKE SURE you select the appropriate option, it should say something like "this device is connected to another computer".
After the wizard runs just restart the computer and it should be fine.
