Windows 7 driver conflicts cause those problems. It could be your sound driver and or video driver. It could also be the game conflicting with the Windows 7 drivers. Are there any new patches for your game available.
Anyway it just sounds like driver problems……….Windows 7 is still new and bugs are just now being found. Have you run your Windows 7 update and see if it finds any updated drivers or patches for your system?
