It sounds like your watching the scanning progress. It’ll show you what’s being scanned. What is the name of the virus file? Find out & run a web search. Also, open quarantine & see if anythings in there. It may have been cleaned or needs work. There may be instructions. It should have been listed in the scan window when 1st detected. Since it wasn’t listed try the above.
dude,if you want a reliable antivirus get panda 08 or nod32,THERE IS NOTHING BETTER,
Im sure u have updated. i dont know what is wrong but i do know that i will never get Norton again….. not even for free. it doesnt work
You may have seen it scanning it’s own definition files. EDIT If you have doubts use another scanner but be sure to turn off your AUTO-PROTECT (anti virus) on Norton while using another anti virus. I turn mine off until restart. Be sure you restart your computer to turn it back on and check to be sure it is back on. Here is a free scan from windows live.
