   Start up the laptop in safe mode. If it starts in safe mode, try to do a system restore. If not, you may not have any choice but to do a full system recovery from the discs. If it comes to this and you need have files that you need off of your computer, contact me by email and I can walk you through the process of getting those files off of your hard drive.

   I dont know how to fix your problem but if you need your files
   off the harddrive you can use a harddrive caddy like
   the one here

   I dont know the seller this is just to give you an idea

   connect your harddrive to the caddy and connect it up
   to another computer , copy your important college stuff
   to the other computer reformat the harddrive and
   reinstall windows 7 from scratch.

   you probably dont want to do a fresh install
   I know I wouldnt but if you have to at
   least you know how .

   maybe someone else will solve it for you
