   It’s not the change of monitor that caused that problem. Your OS is corrupt. I am level II support for a major ISP provider located in Silicon Valley. When I run into these problems it is usually a virus that caused it. You need to back up and re-install.

   Start windows xp in safe mode,if you have registry cleaner use it,or uninstall last installed (Softwares or games) programs, Then restart the system. or if u r using genuine windows xp, start xp in safe mode with networking support and check Microsoft update theres system will check required drivers for u r LCD.

   I not sure, but, normally when someone have a problem I ask; "What did you do"? In your case you changed monitors. So, it seem this where the problem is. XP should have detected new hardware and run the Driver install. Most graphics have their on BIOS and stuff to get a monitor up and running enough to see and then you install the driver to fine tune. But, I really not sure what to tell you if the monitor not have Drivers it should have worked. May look at the old monitor and see what the specs are. The new monitor may be more Pixels than your Graphics card can support. So, you may need to see if there a new driver for your graphics card. In Safe Mode it using the Bios I mentioned above and works. But, I making a guess as I can not look and see.
   As mentioned above re-installing Windows should detect the new monitor and adjust accordingly. Sorry, a Beer was calling me, after you install XP, it should bootup correct. IF/Or the Video not look good, you still need to check and get your Video Driver to make a nice Display.

   you might have to run in safe mode and back up everything, then try reinstalling your OS

   yes it is a hardware conflict……….
   remove the each and every ahrdware and test the system…
   and it is not the problem of monitor , processor , hardisk etc…….
   could be ram

   There might be a software / hardware conflict.

   To find out if you have a software conflict, go to the safe mode then login.
   Then go to start, run, type MSCONFIG then go to the startup tab and uncheck all things that are listed there.

   Restart the computer and see if it’s going to boot up. If it does, then you just have to go to the msconfig again (in the normal mode) and put a check 5 items at one time and restart the computer, continue doing so until you find the culprit that causing your computer to freeze up when it starts.

   If that doesn’t work… try to unplug anything that is connected to your computer and try again. If that still doesn’t work.. I guess you just have to put up working in the safe mode 🙁

   Your computer is screwed. Your Windows XP is corrupted. You need to reinstall windows XP to correct your problem

   sorry i cant be much help here but the monitor should not need drivers, they are plug and play, perhaps you will need to reinstall windows
