   You did’nt say what antivirus your running,but if its norton,this will slow you down considerably,,also you may have disabled more than you know,and this could stop you running certain things on your laptop.
   Why not do a restore,say back to last month or so when it was running normally,you wont lose any data,failing this,you could save any important stuff to disc,and do a complete recovery,you may have infected your laptop with some programe you’ve recently opened

   Run a checkdisk, disk clean up and go into system settings and increase page filing. The page filing is not really that important because you have 2 g ram but try it anyways. Also see what you have running in task manager and close down un needed prgrams, just make sure they arent running for the system.

   1) Run a Disk Cleanup..From
   start menu/programs/accesesories/ system tools.

   2) Run a virus and spyware scan.

   3) Use a registry cleaner to optimize your PC.

   4) Download intels application accelerator( if it is compatible with your proccesor)…check website.

   5) Visit Tweak XP.com for more help.

   6) If all else fails..take backups of important documents and format your PC and reinstall windows.

   uhmmm it could be but i doubt…. try virus scaner… u might have a virus or malware… or something of that sort… just run a virus scan and see what happens

   Format and reinstall. You’ll get the speed back.
