Hi,
No, do not delete that registry key. That will provide programs with information on whether your OS is 32- or 64-bit. You will run into a lot of compatiblity problems if you get rid of it.
Normall,yo you shouldn’t be using registry cleaners. My suggestion is to backup everything you need, format the disk and reinstall Windows (it’s easy, don’t worry! – the installer will handle the formatting), install a good anti-virus software (avast! is good and even free and provides a firewall, too) and make sure to use trusted software (you should prefer to download things from official websites or their mirrors instead of random torrents, etc. and you should not use cracks). Everytime you want to delete an application you have to use the uninstaller if it has one.
Following the steps above will make sure your computer remains clean for as long as you want. Occasionally, run the disk defragmenter for a tune-up. Don’t worry, we all screwed up at first! 🙂
Cheers,
Bogdan
