   1. fully scan your computer. Virus always cause a computer slow down. At the same time, you should also know that using more than 1 antivirus software is harm to your computer. They will make a big confliction by uncompatible with each other.

   2.you’ve done a defragment, what’s that? a disk defragment or a registry defragment? the former will free up your disk space, and the latter will give a clean registry.

   3. notice that just cleaning up registry is not enough. you should fix registry errors.Registry is so important to a computer, so if you are unfamiliar with it ,do not delete anything by yourself, or your computer will collapse.I recommend Wondershare registry optimizer to you.

   4. remove all junk files and history.

   5.stop those unnecessary start-up programs which will affect computer boot time a lot.

   6. Add some RAM, which is helpful to computer speed. Do not put programs on C driver, for it stores all system information.

   7. if all above do not work, you may consider to do a reinstall of Windows. Before you do it , please remember to back up all your important files.

   Everyone hates slow computer, do something and make it fast again.

   It could be a combination of things in addition the the virus. If she has an antivirus installed on her computer, run it in "safe mode". (Simply restart the PC, and as it is restarting keep pressing the F8 button until the safe mode screen comes up) If she doesn’t have an Antivirus you can get one here:

   The above two programs are excellent and free to use. But remember, you can only have ONE Antivirus Program running on your computer at one time. Turn the others off. You can however have more than one AntiSpyware or AntiMalware Programs running at once. They don’t interfere with Antivirus Programs either.

   And lastly make sure there aren’t too many programs being booted up every time the PC starts. See how many icons are showing on the desktop… You can uncheck some of those in the Advanced System Care Program so they don’t all try to run at startup. If you don’t need them to run, turn them off, "exit". Just right click the icon and click exit. If you are low on RAM, you don’t want a great deal of icons showing… a lot of programs running simultaneously. But if you don’t know what the program is, investigate it before turning it off. Some are necessary for windows to run.

   After that, if it is still too slow, she will have to get a larger RAM.

   are you sure there is a virus? well if there is one, then don’t panic, a virus is just a series of instructions that tells your computer to commit suicide, to stop it you have to find it and delete it, you will need to go to "my computer" and then look through everythin, delete any folders that are titled: "new folder", or "folder", or something that you don’t remember making that is in your documents, DON’T DELETE ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF "MY DOCUMENTS" UNLESS YOU ARE SURE IT IS A VIRUS

   How much ram? You might wanna upgrade the ram… what antivirus do u use? try to destroy that virus! Use "Glory Utilitys" its free and it can speed up a computer really good

   download anti malwarebyte and run it you can Google it . then download a microsoft essentials and run it those programs will remove any virus or spyware etc there is on your machine

    Stay in school and learn to spell! Your connection is only as fast as the through-put, cables and modem. PC is only a catalyst and does not have much to do with the speed of the internet.

    Download and use Malware Bytes. Also use Antivir as its free and will scan pretty well. After the speeds slightly fast i suggest searching for a "Registry Cleaner" I use Eusing mostly. This will all help speed it up. If you format C:\ you’ll lose all data and files EVERYTHING but you will run a lot faster.

    if it’s an old computer, like windows 98, I would highly recommend getting a new computer.
