You should use msconfig to make changes to how Windows starts. You get to msconfig using Run on the start menu. Just type in msconfig. If you are unsure about what to disable, you should do some research read about the program or service before you decide to disable it.
If you decide to use a registry cleaner to do anything, you should back up your registry to an external storage device first, such as a USB flash drive. Here is how you back up your registry:
1. Go to start, and press Run.
2. Type in regedit.exe
3. When the registry editor appears, go to File and then Export.
4. You can then choose to backup the entire registry or just the sections that you modify.
5. Give the registry file an appropriate name in case you need to undo changes to the registry later.
Here is a list of registry cleaners:
CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/
Eusing Free Registry cleaner: http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm
You are also given the option to back up your registry when you use either of these programs. I hope this helps you.
No.
Read the page on my PC help site on using Msconfig.
