   maybe there is a error in your disk.you can download a soft ware like Perfect Optimizer to perfect your system.

   Just continue on your repairing.Select the partition that previously with XP.Then just follow the step.
   Your data will still be safe.

   What I recommend you to do is reformat your computer.
   The ‘symptoms’ told me that your Window had crashed.
   Reformat with erase everything in the selected partition
   Relax~your data will still be in your hard disk.

   If can,you can disassemble your hard disk yourself and connect it to another computer that with OS on it to recover all the files.Then reconnect to your computer back to reformat.

   Reformatting process is just same what did you do just now.But do not choose repair Window XP,if you want to reformat.
