regcure is good on xp
CCleaner
=========
google ccleaner and install it from the result filehippo.com. While it installs just untick the boxes as some programs you dont want.
run the cleaner in windows/applications but dont tick the bottom 11 boxes in the Windows Tab.
run the registry cleaner as well, when it asks to back up the registry , allow it to do it, then clean the registry. You should run the registry cleaner a couple of times, but you only need to save it the once.
Use ccleaner at least once a week, I have not known of it to cause a problem, I dont back the registry up anymore as its so reliable.
Also ccleaner will remove the program entry that you may have difficulty with in add/remove, or the uninstall doesn’t work.
Regcure
Google regcure + crack.
Install it but dont run it
Swap over the exe file
Open regcure >Settings >untick all the boxes in settings (important, untick all, do not check for updates or it will be disabled.)
Run ccleaner a couple of times, then run regcure about 8 times and fix all problems each time.
When you start getting the same errors only select them to ignore instead of fix, ( eg on the 8th scan chose to ignore.)
Now that those are on ignore you only need to run regcure once, say once a month.
CC cleaner via filehhippo.com or you could try a more thorough one DiskMax by Koshy John they are both free & very good DiskMax requires you to follow the instructions carefully, but it’s more thorough than CC.
Microsoft says they aren’t that important.

Use "TuneUp Utilities". It is the good one but not a free one. Try to find crack, you will have that.

Definetly tuneup utilities. It’s not free, but it’s not expensive and i’m sure you can find a crack on the internet.
It finds problems in the reg, and can restore the computer if you don’t like what it did.
And it also cleared up 32.8GB of junk on my laptop.
