those free once are mostly likely functions as the one you would bought.. you just have to update it and make sure that your computer is well protected. Avira is one of the nicest anti virus I have ever used for free.. but if you ever wonder on buying try this one out http://www.pcrush.com
Free ones are about as good as paid antiviruses, however for full protection you need an Internet Security Suite than a single antivirus. And these are paid, usually.
So you could install a free antivirus +free firewall + run manual scans with some anti-spyware tool or get paid full internet security suite.
It is not so useful to buy antivirus alone.
Just personal opinion of course. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.
there are free ones so nooooo
plus half of them dont work
We buy protection now – we just got too many viruses before. We ‘ve been happy with Norton by Symantec for several years now, and I’m buying it again this year.
Its good coverage for a good price, and I am able to use Norton Coupons http://www.discountspies.com/norton-coupons/ to help get a better deal too.
Not worth leaving up to chance in my opinion and experience.
You may already have a trial version. But, if you don’t, I’d check out Avira.
Pros:
Updates automatically.
Real-time heuristics even on the free version
Easy to use
One of the best in its market
Database updates itself constantly
Comes with an "ahead" feature that stops new viruses from sneaking on your system
Activates on start-up to prevent malicious software from starting up
And, for a one-time fee of $25, you can download Malwarebytes Antimalware. Updates automatically and has one of the best detection rates for malware out there. There’s a free version, but you have to update it yourself and doesn’t offer real-time protection.
Free ones are just as good. I haven’t bought virus protection in years. Download these two programs to protect your computer

Sure you can
