My guess is you probably didn’t get the battery in right. On another pc search for hp d325 Go to the one for HP tech support – they list the manuals for it. Select the 3rd manual – it lists battery replacement procedure. Also check that you didn’t forget to connect any plug or wires – this is another reason you don’t get to the bios.. Last is to download the bios and try flashing it again.
You may have a Malware infection Try starting up in Safe mode. With a bit of luck the bug will not load. You will need to run your Adware/ Spyware scans in this mode to be more effective. Spybot search and destroy, is a good place to start. You may also need Malawarebytes and Superantispyware. Choose "Safe mode with networking" to use the Net to get any tools that you need.
Edit
As the computer beeps all is not lost, however your hard drive is more than likely dead. The beep is the post, this means that the CPU Memory and power supply is good. The reason that it doesn’t start up is that it cannot find a device to boot from. You could use a bootable CD like a windows install disk or UBCD to test the drive and try a repair, but this is not always successful.
