Go to microsoft . com and download a new browser, IE7 If you already have internet Explorer 7 or 6 or 8 beta you can just download and install it again for free, It does all the work and it runs MS malicious software removal tool which it better than the stuff we can buy, when you install the new broswer,
Some times componants of the browser are damaged or lost, I do not know how exactly that happens But sometimes reinstallation works to fix that problem and it is free and safe it is worth a shot,
Try Spyware Dr.
it 100% guarantees virus gone or money back
I use it and mine is up and running healthy for a whole year…
woot
This a lame guess, but could it be the battery? (Even desktops have batteries…)

Computer freezing issues are 99% of the time related to memory (RAM) problems. Head over to http://crucial.com , use the Memory Adviser to determine what RAM your computer uses, and head to a local retail store (like Best Buy) and pick some up. If you need help installing it, the Geek Squad inside Best Buy will do it for $39.
Worst case scenario, if this doesn’t work, you can always return the RAM for a full refund (but you cannot return the $39 install service).
Since you say the computer won’t freeze until some time passes, it sounds like the RAM you currently have is filling up, and not allowing itself to be overwritten. I’m ALMOST positive this is your issue.
