Scanning and fixing the registry errors would also be recommendable. Use RegInOut software.
Do you have the "Google redirect virus"?
I have the same problem as you, I also have the Google redirect virus. After reading here:
http://www.brighthub.com/internet/google/articles/66090.aspx
I found the solution.
What fixed it for me was the "TDSSKiller by Kaspersky Labs."

Try this first, and see if it fixes the problem.
This seems to be registry error use some good registry cleaner tool such as Reginout to repair the corrupt registry.

SvcHost.exe is a critical process that does not run where you can see. If SvcHost.exe is throwing an error like this, it is not running afterwards. Yet it sounds liek your computer runs fine (Besides the issues you talked about.). If the real SvcHost.exe did nto work, you may not be able to log on at all.
SvcHost.exe also runs itself from 3 to even 5 times. Depending on your computer’s age, SvcHost.exe instances may increase in number.
It sounds like a virus is attempting to start up a new SvcHost.exe and use that new instance to run itself and attack. I reccomend you run a virus scan on more sophisticated software.
how about trying software or a real tech that will NOT destroy your system
