It’s sometimes hard to say how many SVCHOST.EXE’s are "too many" but here’s the rule of thumb:
If it’s running under username SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE or NETWORK SERVICE, it’s probably supposed to be there. If it’s running under any other user, especially a non-system one, it’s highly suspect.
Hope that helps.
well from what i examined there is no problems. Your pc maybe be slow due to ram. Try to add more ram. Ram is what the pc use to store and use temp files for your programs. If space for ram is decreasing, then your computer lags.
and do not worry about svchost.exe. That is a critical component for the system. Do not do anything with it, and yes there are many of them.
edit : clean out junk, use ccleaner. and update all drivers.
Yes registry cleaners can be dangerous to use. Here’s a list of steps you can do to help clean up yor computer.
1. Download CCleaner from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/download/58156f96255767aeec553947d393ec2c/
2. Double click the .exe file to install it.
3. Once it’s installed open the CCleaner program.
4. When open, go to the Tools area on the left hand sidebar. You will see a list of programs. ANY program you’re not using on a regular basis, select it and press Run uninstaller.
5. When you’re done this, select Startup below Uninstall. Select anything you don’t want running and press Disable. You might want to google some things before disabling them. You can always re-enable them later in Safe Mode if it affects your computer.
6. When you’ve finished steps 4 and 5 go to Cleaner on the left hand sidebar. Under the Windows and Applications tab select everything.
7. Press Analyze, this will run for a while, when finished, click Run Cleaner.
8. Click Registry and make sure everything is selected.
9. Click Scan for Issues, when done press Fix Selected Issues.
10. A popup will appear asking if you want to backup changes to the registry. Press Yes and write down where the registry file saves to.
11. Press fix all selected issues, the box might go blank for a little while.
12. It is common to have over 600 issues – if you do have over 600 – repeat steps 9 to 11 a few times until they’re all gone.
13. Restart your computer.
14. When it’s back up – if you’re experience errors double click that registry file you saved.
15. There’s still more we can do!
16. Press the Windows Key and R, a box will appear, type services.msc and press ok
17. A list of all "services" will appear, disable any that you arent using. (Double click and disable)
18. The last part – this will take several hours on a big harddrive. Might want to do this overnight.
19. Download "Defraggler" here, http://www.filehippo.com/download_defraggler/download/6e5ab6a57d17aa7bb3fa2d8538a2695f/
20. Open Defraggler and click File->Defrag Drive.
When this finishes you should fine your computer a lot faster!
Hope I was of help,
