how can i get a clean install of windows xp?

I have a laptop with a problem, I’ve researched it, and they suggest doing a clean install with sp2. how can i do this, where do i get windows xp? i don’t have a disk, all i have is the laptop and charger, and it doesnt have any recovery partition.

My laptop won’t let me access Windows. What is the best option?

My laptop stays in "SAFE MODE", posting an error message similar to: "Drivers32 file missing or corrupt".

While reading a website, I recieved a strange message that " files are being dumped to documents folder." After recieving the message, I noticed that it became progressively harder for the WINDOWS screen to load. Every time I turned on my laptop, the black and white "safe mode" screen would pop up….then countdown from about 30 seconds…..then pop up again, like a revolving door. No matter what I tried, the screen would just keep repeating itself — without so much as even letting me see the password screen. Also, the power supply to the laptop became very erratic.

My question: Is it better to use the original software that came with my laptop and reboot to solve the problem? Or, is there some software that will repair my drivers and get my computer running again–preferably without rebooting?

How do I get rid of a pop-up associated with a program I had on my computer?

I had installed Business Pro and then removed it using the Add/Remove Programs — I also cleaned out the registry. But the Windown Installer pop-up keeps coming back when I visit certain websites that have a lot of pop-ups. It asks for Windows Installer and the original disk — I do not have this. I use Windows XP Home Edition and clean my laptop using Ad-Aware and another registry cleaner — this is of no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s really annoying and the pop-up only goes away after I hit cancel at least three times!

What is the Best Free anti-virus protection for my laptop?

I have just bought a laptop, but the anti-virus protection that comes with the laptop is only temporary and will expire soon, I have to pay to extend it.

However I have seen so many free anti-virus protection, I don’t know which one to go for.

windows registry, restore?

my laptop was okay, i tied to install my nokia phone 3500c, it said cannot install this hardware, data is invalid, did net search for usb cannot install, what i did was stupid, i opened windows registry went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet, right clicked on permission and selected allow all (although some of the options were on "read", then my phone worked fine as usb drvice, but when i start windows restore, it says windows restore cannot protect ur computer , please restart, i did, it did not work, my printer driver also vanished, can i undo changes to the registry, my laptop was perfectly fine, i just tried to take things in to my own hands and i’m in a mess ,even the linking between excel documents is not working since please help
