any good Diagnostic tools for computer tech?
Hello,
I do a lot of computer support for friends and some clients.
I am charging for diagnostics but i tell them whats wrong. I’m curious to know if there a good software (Free or something near) that will run a test on spyware software and hardware and then print to show the clients?
any help would be great.
I already have Hirens but what tools do i Use to actually run a diagnostics and give a copy to the client about his issue.
Exp.. taking your car to the mechanic they put it to test and they give you a print out and tell you what they recommend to fix the car.
After 2.5 years, my Dell XPS has become too slow. I use all of the spyware (Ewido, AdAware, and Spybot) and virus apps. (E Trust Internet Security Sutie) and have never had a virus. I use CleanUp! and WindowWasher and Registy Mechanic to no avail. I think the registry has simply gotten too huge. It is time to do a clean install of XP Pro.
Has anyone used CarMD, a device which can tell you what the check-engine light being on means?
This device is meant to plug into your car in a port where your mechanic would plug in his 00 diagnostic machine to figure out what is wrong with your car for you. I did some online customer reviews for it, and some people love it and others had a lot of problems with the software (after you plug the device into your car, you then upload the data into your computer and then get a reading as to what the problem is).
Seeing as I am still somewhat new to my area and don’t yet have a mechanic (I’ve been lucky to not need one, yet! knock on wood), and seeing as I don’t know incredibly much about cars beyond changing the oil filter (and what I hear on Car Talk, haha), I was thinking this would be a good investment at 0 for the device so that I can get an assessment of any problems before I was to bring the car into a shop.
Does anyone have any opinions on CarMD?
Thanks!
How man “extra” files do registry cleaners add while sweeping ?Are they real or just a gimmick”
Reg Mechanic finds over 90 each time, Reg Cure finds a lot more, and yet each time I scan…there’s some left. Why are some "Free" and "The good ones" cost ? A SCAM not a SCAN !! That’s 4 questions, but the gist is there…any relative answer would be nice. Thanks !
