When I boot up my Windows XP computer, it says "power saving mode enabled this monitor will shut down" and it does! I’ve tried switching monitors and that did not help. Also, gave it a thorough cleaning, checked all the connections, and tried a new power source (different outlet). The computer is only 3 years old and the Power Saving mode is disabled. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

My computer crashed…need some help!?
My computer just shut down yesterday. I believe it was a power surge, but I am unsure. Anyway…The power source was toast. I switched it out but the only one I had available was 250watt, the old one was 550. Would this cause my computer to run slower?
Is there any software available to run a diagnostic from home.
Thanks!
Remo, If your not even going to read the question, why bother with writing a response? Thanks for the dumb reply.
