I made some tweaks in Registry Editor by going to run –> regedit and since then my computer has been a little buggy. I don’t remember all the changes I made and/or what they were originally so I was wondering if it was possible to restore the Registry Editor settings to default somehow, or if there was a program that could do it… or something. Thanks for your help!

I don’t want to manually regedit search and destroy references to programs I’ve removed. Can’t registry cleaners do that for me?

winlogon.exe and regedit.exe I now can’t open regedit.exe.
When I quit the antivirus it comes up with a message saying that I need to insert the Windows XP SP2 CD in the CD Drive to repair the infected files – Although I don’t have the CD.
I have done a Virus Scan and they have not shown up. Is there anything to worry about?
It says I have the Trojan called: ‘Trojan.Win32.Pakes.x3’

i already reformatted my pc because of this problem, but still the same. i used ccleaner and other registry-fixing tools, but it still keeps my computer restarting. even searching registry files thru regedit causes my pc to restart also.
