Malware removal?

i screwed up and allowed something called ActiveX Object 1.15 to install…it will not remove..tried Spybot- Norton and tried a registry cleaner and add/remove programs…it keeps coming back as Pest Trap…when it is removed a screen MAKES me check ”reboot”….when PC reboots it ceases removal of malware—any ideas?

Are registry cleaners needed?

This is something that’s been plaguing me for weeks. "Should I or shouldn’t I install a registry cleaner?, Will it do more harm than good?, Which registry cleaner is the safest to use?, etc. Can someone put me out of my misery and give me your opinions and an overview of the pros and cons of using a registry cleaners. Thank you.

If I replace Windows Vista with Windows 7, will I lose all of my data?

Hello there, my friend. I accidentally deleted some important Windows Vista files with a registry cleaner and was told reinstalling Vista should fix it up, but I was wondering if I install the Windows 7 trial instead, would I delete all of my documents and all that jazz?

I’ve tried freeregistryfix and registry cleaner, but they ask for you to upgrade after fixing only about 50 problems. (I still have 460+ to go)!!
