Ignore that link, its crap.
What you really need is more RAM, this is your memory and the more it is the faster your computer runs and the more smooth. you can purchase it from all good computer shops and online.
if you dont wish to do this go to start then search msconfig, open this and go to startup, untick all the useless programs you dont use. this will stop many useless programs opening and hiding invisibly.
ok one would be ccleaner it works wonderfully you can get this at http://www.download.com and you run that with everything you’ll see oncce installed and then there is one other way which is the beyond best wya is to upgrade your ram or max it out ram meaning random acess memory makes everything on your computer faster start up all aplications anything you can think of so
good luck
Everything on that link is software, which is no good, it’s just anopther process which makes ur pc even slower. the 2 things you need are ram, and a better processor, but a processor is hard to replace, so just get some more ram, i reccomend 3 gigabytes, which will cost you about £40 on ebay or amazon.
hope this helped.
p.s: never download any software claiming to speed up ur pc, it is usualy a trojan horse virus, but even if it’s not, it can’t do any good at all.
Use a light weight anti-virus is the best way. Or learn to get by without one at all, which is possible.
I mean what these other guys are saying could be good but the link that you have in your question is great also. I have personally use Vista Speed Secrets and it has showed me things i would have ever ever known. And it made my computer faster than ever.
You can find a great review on it here
