Large numbers of junk files not only waste too many disk spaces, but also hinder the speed of operating system. Therefore, you should clear up system files ceaselessly so as to improve efficiency and disk available space. In this article, I will introduce you certain methods to clear up junk files in the C disk.
1.Open C: /Documents and Settings/Users’ name/Cookies, delete all the files, because it restores the left index files when visiting websites.
2.In the C: /Documents and Settings/Users’ name/Local Settings/History, delete the files since they belong to history record.
3.In the C: /WINDOWS/Temp, remove all these temporary files.
4.In the C:/Documents and Settings/Users’ name/Local Settings/Temp, remove such user’s temporary visiting files.
5.Open C:/Documents and Settings/Users’ name/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files, delete all the page files.
6.In the C:/Documents and Settings/Users’ name/Recent folder, you can delete all these shortcuts of recent browsed files.
7.In the C: /WINDOWS/Software Distribution/download, get rid of all the temporary files when downloading.
8.In the C: /WINDOWS/Driver Cache/386, delete all the compressed

Since you have do stuff like dfrag/cleaners/remove unneeded programs/malware remove etc, I think you may add some RAM.
Anyway, I will share some methods with you to speed up computer:
1.run a antivirus software to scan your computer fully.
virus usually impacts the speed of computer.
If there is no virus, see the possible reasons that make computers slow down and solutions.
2.Registry is the centre database of your computer operating system which contains information and settings for hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, and per-user settings. You must load the registry whenever you launch any programs on your computer. If the registry is too fat or with some errors, computer’s performance will seriously be impacted. So, you need to clean up registry and fix its errors.
If you are not familiar with registry, don’t remove files away from it and clean up it easily for you may delete important things that will make your computer in trouble. You’d better choose to use a professional registry cleaner, personally,I like wondershare registry optimizer,it’s safe to operating system.
3.There must be too many programs start up automatically when you start your computer.Run a registry optimizer or cleaner to stop those unnecessary start-up programs.
4.Have you ever clean up your computer since you bought it? If the answer is never, I am sure that there are lots of junk files on it. Junk files is also one of reasons that will cause computer slowing down. You’d better delete them regularly.
2,3,4 can be realized by a registry optimizer.
5.If a registry optimizer doesn’t work, add RAM or do a fresh reinstall of windows. Before you do a reinstall, please remember to back up.However, you should know that frequent reinstall is harm to hard disk.
6.Put programs on other drivers ,not C driver, because commonly C is for operating system. And defrag hard disks every 2 months.
Good luck.
The best way to increase speed is to add RAM. Memory is specific to your motherboard as to what type and amounts are supported. Playing with the hard drives will result in no discernible performance increase and it sounds like you have done most of the common things to add speed.
if you remove it and sell it in order to buy something like memory- then yes, but in general your system is not ready for new software and OS.
removing a hard drive won’t help your computer get any faster. great that your cleaning up. Your hardware other hardware can also be a culprit your cpu mb & ram itself can cause those problems. As your computer hardware gets older she can get slower. Newer software typically games will not run as fast on an older computer. If you have not formatted your hard drive and have done a fresh install of your O.S in a long time. Now might be the time to backup your files and do it. Make sure you have all the drivers for your hardware before you do.
Removing the slave won’t help, but getting more ram will, 384 is practically nothing, you should try and get at least 1gig in there if not 2, that will make it run much, much faster.
