if your antivirus is an updated one , it should be able to attack them (the virus) .
It is telling you that it MIGHT contain a harmful virus. As for protecting you from the virus it does what it can. It will protect you as long as it has that specific virus definition. If it does not then you can become infected. This is why it is important to keep your virus protection updated.
Yo will need more protection softwares like avast and adware
If there is a warming then don’t download it.
Your mcafee is supposed to protect you but you should avoid risky files.
on some computers, when you first try to download executable program files (ending in .exe, like setup.exe, or funny_thing.exe) then a warning will show that it could be a virus. However, while some viruses are .exe, theres billions of programs that are .exe files that AREN’T viruses. it’s just warning you and telling you to be careful and know what you’re downloading it. if it is a virus though, your anti virus will destroy it before it infects your computer.
It means that it is possible for it to contain a virus..this is a generic message that they put on for any exe files trying to be downloaded….i wouldnt seeing as how exe files are ususly some trojan or virus …if this is something someome sent you then you may want to contact them to get the enitre CD or something…I wouldnt download it…
First of all McAfee sucks. Get Norton Antivirus or Antivir then get rid of McAfee. then try downloading it and if it says something similar or the same thing then i would suggest go somewhere else for it or if you really want this one then get it and if it tells you you have a virus on you computer then get rid of it.
Dont bother downloading it if its not a MUST download and you’re that worried.
I realy like Norton Anti Virus for protection. Mcafee always gave me trouble, personally.
it depends on how important that animal/midget porn is to you???
the thing from the web is a hoax, just update mcafee and run a full scan
you get a message that the file could "potentially" contain harmful viruses or worms because your virus protection cannot validate the source of the file and it can’t guarantee that the download is virus-free. so there might, or might not be a virus.
your anti-virus program should be able to protect you from MOST viruses provided that you update your program regularly. anti-virus programs have definition files that need to be updated every so often so that it would be able to identify the latest viruses.
keep in mind that there is NO program, no matter how expensive, that can provide you 100% protection from viruses.
