   I’ve used Grisoft’s AVG for years now and it’s always served me well. It’s free for personal use.

   I use both AVG free and Avast Home Edition. I like both, I also use ad-aware to remove advertizing cookies, that can be potential threats. So far using all of these programs and only surfing the web on Mozilla has kept my computer healthy.
