   Use "start" button to go to "control panel."

   Click on "Security Center."

   Scroll down and see the message under "virus protection."

   Does it say that Windows does not detect any on your computer? If so, and you do have an antivirus program, it may be a program that windows does not recognize. If that is the case, you can get rid of the balloon by clicking the button that says "recommendations". The "recommendation" dialogue box has a check box at the bottom that says "I will monitor my antivirus protection;" If you check that the balloon should stop.

   Now you should make sure that you in fact DO have antivirus software, and that it is turned on. How to do that will depend on the program you have. Generally, if it is installed properly, you can find it by clicking "start" and "all programs".
