Any AntiVirus that you pay for will update itself as soon as an update is available for it…you can get Kaspersky, Norton or McAfee.
you can always do an up to date online scan at Trend Micro
I’ve used avast and several others. Those along with Yahoo’s Anti Spyware have really helped keep viruses and ad/spyware off my computer for more than a year because they update frequently.
Avast antivirus the home edition is free and it has served me well plus it updates many times a week
Grisoft has AVG for free. It offers comprehensive virus protection that is updated daily. You can learn more on their Web site at http://free.grisoft.com/.
Other than that, if you want a paid solution, Kaspersky is known for its frequent updates and good protection it offers.
avast! anti-virus
http://www.avast.com/
but you have to make shure you update it by right clicking on the little avast icon in the right corner of your screen and clicking update program, and update IAVS
updateing once every week or so is fine.
