I would really like to rid my computer from all the programs I don’t need. However, I don’t want to lose my personal files or documents. I have a Windows Vista and I would like to use a program that I already have on my computer. (I don’t want to download anything.) If you could tell me what it is, where I can find it on my computer, and what it specifically does that would help a lot! Thank you!

Like Fred says, you can go to control panel > Add or remove programs and remove any unwanted programs. Also you can get rid of the cookies and temp files to make the PC run faster. Go to C drive > documents and settings > folder with your name on it > then look for Cookies folder and delete everything except the index.dat file. Then go to the Local Settings folder and click on temporary internet files and delete everything from this folder. Then click on Start > Run > type prefetch and delete everything from this folder. Then again go to Run and type %temp% and delete everything from the temp folder. These steps will make the pc run faster and also create space on the HDD. Also when was the last time you Defragmented the Hard Disc?
first use the add/remove programs option from control panel to delete any programs you don’t need, then delete any files associated with those programs that you do not want, after all this run a defragmentator then your computer will rin smoother and have more space
If you go into the control panel and open up the Programs icon you can remove any unwanted programs and it wont delete any personal stuffages such as pics and songs.
