well there are many many software available for this purpose but I have experienced that many of them are very heavy on system resources and due to which the system becomes slow. But some of the software that I have seen as good in terms of Speed, removal and also light weight on system resources are below….
MalwareBytes:

ScanSpyware:

Super Antispyware:

Hope this help……….
In my opinion, and take it or leave it, Kaspersky is one of the better antivirus applications.
Coupled with a legitimate and fully functional antispyware application, you could do no better for the safety of your PC.
I would suggest teaming Kaspersky up with Spyhunter.
Check it out here:

Remember to always keep your antivirus and anti-spyware applications up to date and fully functional.
Stopping spyware (‘malware’) is more than a one-time inoculation, folks.
This is about a weekly habit of cleaning ‘nasty dust bunnies’
from your personal computer.
In much the same way you clean your home with your favorite broom
and your favorite cleaning solvents, you will also need good tools
to clean spyware out of your PC.

Just personal opinion of course. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.
If you need a free antivirus program, I would recommend that you try using Microsoft Security Essentials, which can be downloaded from the link below.

If you need a free antispyware program, perhaps you should try using MalwareBytes, which can be downloaded from the link below.

Also, perhaps you should try using Mozilla FireFox, which is a free browser that is safer than Internet Explorer and can be downloaded from the link below.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!
I have been using Prevx for a few months now. It is affordable and appears to be working fine.
bitdefender is the best at present !!
Microsoft Security Essentials provides real-time protection for your home PC that guards against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software
