If you need a free antivirus program, I would recommend that you try using Microsoft Securitiy Essentials, which can be downloaded from the link below.

In addition to running frequent antivirus programs, I would also suggest that you run frequent antispyware scans.
If you need a free antispyware program, perhaps you should try using MalwareBytes, which can be downloaded from the link below.

Also, perhaps you should try using Mozilla FireFox, which is a free browser that is safer than Internet Explorer and can be downloaded from the link below.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!
AVG, Avast, Avira, Clam, Trend Micro are all good and reputable. 1% separates them all in effectiveness. keep them up to date and scan often
Avast http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download. Because AVG is going to stop there free anti virus soon.
avast 5 or avira use only one both are very good and free get at cnet.com good luck
The debate on the best anti-virus software is constantly being argued over throughout the entire world. It is only a matter of user friendliness and if it actually accomplishes the job or not. Personally, i use avast because of how quiet it is and how little CPU it uses.
AVG and zonealarm are very good
the program avast! has a free edition and is recommended by Microsoft as well as many computer technicians and network administrators around the country.
AVG Free version. http://www.free.avg.com
you only want 1 program running at the same time,a good free one is the avira,www.download.com,i ran it for many years and it did a very good job///////
