   there is a way you can speed up windows Vista. A way Noone I know has ever figured out. its about visual styles. there are a number of things they put in vista to make it graphically more appealing, though they really do slow down the computer, mine sped up, and it wasn’t even that slow before. here is how you do it:
   1. go to the control panel.
   2. in the "search" bar, type "performance"
   3. go under "system" as it appears, and click on the link "adjust the appearance and performance of windows"
   having a box unchecked will aid in speeding up your computer. when I initially unchecked all of the boxes, I noticed no difference in my ability to effectively communicate with the computer. If you have vista, and it is really slow, then, by all means, uncheck all boxes.
