DO NOT LISTEN TO ALL OFF THIS SHIT.
First off, in a experienced community macafee is a high memory consuming inefficent program, I will give you a nice left below which will give you what you need 🙂
Anti Virus:
Avast(.com) (I recommend this above all free anti viruses)
Microsoft Security Essentials (Microsoft.com)
Avira(.com)
These are free
Anti Virus:
Kaspersky(.com)
Eset Nod32(.com)
These are very good payed ones, you can also buy Avira or Avast but I would recommend Avast if between one off those.
Anti Spyware / Anti Malware
Malwarebytes(.com)
SuperAntiSpyware(.com)
Use these together with 1 Anti Virus program / suite and you are well protection, I would also like to recommend the SandBox program Sandboxie(.com)
Defragglers and Registry Cleaner
-Defraggler
-CCleaner
From Filehippo.com
or
Piriform.com
I do not recommend these programs
– AdAware (Lavalys/Soft, whatever suck, I had this program :), sad it has a detection rate of 10%)
-AVG (Highly inefficent high memory consuming anti virus, low detection rate, few ways to tweak the program and is easily disabled by viruses
-McAfee, almost same as for AVG though this is just slowing your PC down big time
AVG is the best anti virus out there
and for anti spyware get SpyBot – Search and Destroy.
Both fantastic systems and both FREE!
Yippeee
I usually advice that people don’t use registry cleaners, however if you are addament on using one, CCleaner is probably the better. The built in Windows De-fragmentation software does a pretty good job. For Anti-Spyware, there any so many that do basically the same thing. I recommend using Adaware, only because it has never failed me. 🙂 You’ll need an anti-virus package, such as Norton or McAfee.

well first off you should download ccleaner, its free and will really clean up your computer from unneeded files, but IT IS NOT A ANTI-SPYWARE, for that i would just go with Norton, their a great antivirus, buy long term though, it will be a lot cheaper to do it that way
A good free securtiy program is called McAfee , you can defrag your disk, firewall, cleanup, scheduled tasks, and alot more. I have it and it works great.
There is no such thing as a best free anti-spy. If it doesn’t run in real time it’s pretty well useless because most infections now will not let you download or update them if your already infected. There are some good free cleaning programs though.
http://www.piriform.com/defraggler This is way better than the one that came with windows.
http://www.ccleaner.com/ As far as registry cleaners go this is the only one i really trust. Some are just to strong.
Get a good AV right from the start. Get Kaspersky internet security. Don’t trust your machine to a free AV. It will let you down. Keep your computer updated at the Microsoft update site. Doing that will go a long way in keeping your computer secure. Be careful who you listen to on here. Most have no idea what there talking about.
Spybot for example, It’s out dated. It hasn’t been updated in 2 years but some still recommend it. AVG, The worst AV out there. No root kit protection worth a flip and Trojan Mal ware walks right by it. ALL free AV’s have there problems. Stay away from free AV’s if you can. Norton & McAfee, Well known memory hogs that do not do as well as advertised.
Right now Kaspersky is the best you will get.
