its called being a marter( i know your not being murdered, but still) and theres not much you can do because its his freedom of religion and speech to put that there, just like its yours to believe in God and put that there:] it was awesome keep it up!! its not our fault that he doesnt believe it! but what you do need to do is be an awesome witness for Him! show your teacher that there is a God and that with out Him, and only Him, life is impossible. Im pretty sure we could live with out air… quite litterally if it was what God wanted.. haha my theological rant for the day! keep it up! your awesome:]
Thats persecution for you! Blessed are those that are persecuted for Gods names sake! This is a blessing, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!! π if there are more and more tests questions like that, I would answer them all truthfully, stating that GOD IS the creator of heaven and earth and that of course there would be no life without him, regardless of what the textbook says because that book wrong, apparently! No matter what, do not give in and answer this the way he wants you to, this isn’t about a grade this is about denying Jesus, which you obviously don’t want tot do!. It’s true that you need to respect authorities, but thats unless the rules are directly conflicting with God, and i dont know about you,…but that test questions seems to obviously want you to say that God isn’t the sole creator.. therefore, i am confident you will make the right choice. Atheists do not want truth. so answer water, it was made by god. or say Living water, he cannot dispute the fact that the water has living organisms in it, and you will have won, for it is a term that means Jesus who in fact is sent by God, and all things were made through him and for him. It sounds like your constitutional rights for free speech has been breached.
Fortunately you do have a valid complaint and case should be brought to the School board. Your answer is very appropriate since he put you in this situation and you stated your convictions. He maybe blind to all the religious mambo jumbo going on. Religious holidays( if that’s not your belief and there are those who don’t celebrate any Holidays. All Holiday have a religious background/ IE: Birth of Jesus is celebrated as Xmas.
The school board and your Principle along with your parents your or guardians should make an appointment with them. Its also a breech of your freedom of religion. Politics are also a breach in schools that is not a division of Church and state. When you salute a flag its done in a political frenzy. Fortunately there have been law made about such issues and these issues have been addressed.
There is nothing wrong with your answer. If that’s the way you feel about answering the question, then you have the right to write it.
That stupid teacher should mark it wrong if there was a swear word or perverted talk in the answered question.
Go to your parents ASAP to talk with the principal about your teacher. You could also stand up for your faith if you want, believe me, it is hard doing that. Pray for your teacher or say a 9 day novena to heal the problem.
And yes, LIFE would be impossible without GOD, because there would be nothing without him.:)

You give both in an answer similar to that. Does it work? I graduated high school in 1965 and it worked then. I also took biology in college in 1966, and it worked then.
Philippians 4:5 offers a good guideline in this type of situation –
"Let your reasonableness become known to all men."
That includes teachers and professors.
Why would you write that. It is a science class. And he is not persecuting you in anyway. How do you know he isnt a Christian? It is illegal for both teachers and students to bring religion up in the classroom and he was clearly looking for a scientific answer! YOU ARE NOT IN BIBLE STUDY DOOFUS

your a christian ok cool well really hes not aloud to do that because that was an opion question and if he is doing that then you would first need to pray for him and then ask him why he marked it wrong because it was an opion and you should bring it to the principle and see what he says but God did say in the bible that you might be persecuted
Its a stupid question, honestly. Your teacher should notice that and not be surprised when there are answers he doesn’t expect.
I dont even understand what he expects as the answer. Sunlight? false. carbon maybe? silicon based lifeforms aren’t theoretically impossible.
I personally would probably write in ‘earth’ or ‘life’…he would conisider me a smartass probably but ffs is there any other reasonable answer?
it’s this simple;; you are in a biology class, not a religion class..the answer to the question has everything to do with what your teacher is teaching & not your beliefs..but, now you have a counter claim against him speaking anything in his class about his personal views or beliefs on any subject he deems to speak of in his class…again, the answer is wrong because it was not taught in his class..I could answer "my dog’..it’s just not relevant to the test you are taking…

In the context of a biology class your answer was incorrect. I might have answered "water". I do not believe this happened to you, but if it did you were not being "persecuted".
Because it’s a biology class. Your answer is correct but not in the realm of secular education. You signed up for the class so just go along with it. Now you have him on the defensive and this may affect your grade.

Even though I am a believer, it is still his classroom and quite frankly…he makes the rules. I would just listen to him, and not make a big deal out of this.

Your biology teacher is correct. Your answer is not correct, and you should keep your religious views outside of the classroom.
If you persist in answering every biology test question with God, you will fail biology.
If you’re truly that stupid, I wouldn’t like you either. It’s BIOLOGY, Einstein, not MYTHS and LEGENDS!
