What are your hardwares?
Maybe your hardwares is out of date.
Your pc does not support latest version video player.
You can download older version video player.

Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!
There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

Sounds to me that You never have never done disk defragmentation, nor you delete your cache and clean up all your unused files including cleaning up your registry. okay here is the thing you can download Ccleaner from download.com run it as a cleanup and run it as a registry cleaner too. Then open up My computer > right click on your C drive > properties > tools > disk deframentation . You need to deframent your hard drive at least once every 2 weeks under windows – well i dont use windows anymore (linux) – anyhow if you have never done that before .. then it will take ages you must leave it over night. as for anti virus you can use avast standard for AVG free from download.com.
If i were you however i would go and look for the CDs that came with my computer (restore CD) or any windows XP CD and format the thing (make sure you backup everything you need) just format it .. its faster and easier than going around in loops removing stuff. just get ur CD put it in your tray . and restart your computer .. from there it is pretty much easy to reformat and install a fresh copy. take care
Not enuff info to go on, you might just have a slow computer to begin with – you didn't post any specs or say whether this is a new problem or the computer always acted like this or what????
If you think there is a virus, try avast! Antivirus. And then defrag your computer. To defrag select programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter
Download System mechanic , it's gona clean ya computer et repair it…
goodluck!
