Clean your Registry can make your computer faster
Is your computer slower than ever? Does it feel like your computer just can’t open up programs? In this how to, it will teach you ways to make your computer faster.
The one way you can really boost your PC performance is by buying more ram to install in your computer. If you can go to a store and ask them to install more ram, that will help the computer run faster than before.
Step2
Scan your computer for viruses and spyware. Make sure and get rid of any nasty viruses or spyware that are located in your computer.
Step3
Get rid of unnecessary start up programs. The start up programs will load on your PC automatically and slow down your system. Click run and type in msconfig. Click on startup items and uncheck any useless start up programs.
Or use the tool to manage your startup:
Step4
Run disk de-fragment and disk clean up. Both programs will be found in your accessory folder and both clean up the system.
Step5
Clean your Registry
Clean registry make pc faster.

The possible reasons of computer running slow are in the following;
1. you’re caught by virus
2. too many junk files in C drive
3. start too many programs at one time
4. lack of virtual memory
5. too many icons on your desktop and too many fonts installed
how to solved the problems?
1. use a anti-virus software to scan your computer thoroughly
2. clean up and optimize your registry, you can delete rubbish files, stop unnecessary start-up programs and uninstall useless applications. you can do it by yourself or rely on a registry optimizer.
3. set up virtual memory. MY COMPUTER→PROPERTIES→ADVANCED→PERFORMANCE… MEMORY→CHANGE, to set up minimum virtual memory 1.5 times the physical memory and maximum 3 times the physical memory.
4. clean up icons on your desktop or put them into a file.
5. delete fonts of infrequent usage. when the fonts you install are over 500, your computer’s performance will be impacted.
You do not only need a registry cleaner, but also with a help of anti-virus tools at the same time!
Get the little program by Glary utilities and run it. it picks up cookies that my big time spyware doesn’t and has some neat features. You can see so much and manage a bunch of stuff, helped mine. Hope it helps.
Do you monitor your ISP provided internet speeds?
I use dslreports.com’s speed test as they let you archive your 3 fastest speed tests… When I perceive the net is slower I run a test and check…

Use Google Chrome, it should open in the blink of an eye. In my opinion you should avoid Internet Explorer, it is the most targeted web browser. Avoid using I.E. for everything except updates, and your surfing experience will be one of less maintenance…
Use Firefox, Opera, Chrome anything but the most malware targeted web browser…
There also comes a time, to ask yourself when do i format the hard drive and start again?

A clean install of your operating system is the best cleaner and performance booster possible….
Remember there are many root kits, and stealth hard drive viruses that you may also want to have a look at dban, and properly clean your hard drive.

Or because of the lower prices you might install a newer one for the speed increases they can provide…

Hi guys,
SpeederXP is a powerful PC speed hack software. With it, you can speed up your computer, your internet access and your games (Counter-Strike, StarCraft, etc).
Just use it to make your old slow computer more efficient and run faster in games~! ^^
Visit http://www.speederxp.com or http://www.speederxp.com/en/download.htm and download the free trial, you won’t lose!
You mentioned in #6 that you "Updated spyware and anti-virus programs and scanned to clear it all out" but did you also clear out your browsing history and such?
Expanding the memory doesn’t necessarily make the pc work faster. All that does is increase the file space for documents, spreadsheets, etc. You need to check your RAM to see if its capacity is near full.
You could also clear out your prefetch listing. To get there just click on Start and in the searchbar type in the word "prefetch" and click on the link that shows up.
Highlight all of them and delete them. Close out that box and do a Disk Clean.
Also, you didn’t mention if you had any peripheral devices connected to your pc. When I hook my iPaq to my lappy at the same time I have the external drive hooked into it, I notice a substantial decline in performance.
Then there are things that you could check in Task Manager to see if you have any scheduled programs running. A lot of those things are ones that you can run when you feel like it, so stop the ones you are familiar with like say Disk Clean or Disk Defragmenter.
The only other thing that comes to mind is additional driver software that you have loaded on your desktop. They too use RAM space that could be affecting your pc’s performance.
Hope that helps.
Here are a couple more suggestions:
-Make sure you delete all unnecessary files (i.e. temp files, history, cookies and such)
-uninstall anything you don’t use and anything unnecessary
-look for alternatives to the programs you currently use that do the same thing but take up less memory ( for example, I love firefox and all the extensions, but for general browsing I find chrome to be faster)
Might be your hard drive, otherwise limit the amount of programs running, antiviruses take a decent amount of resources…if you haven’t I would do a fresh reinstall of windows, that usually gives your computer a fresh start.
