   CCleaner is a great program, but I don’t use it for registry cleaning. It caused minor problems with some settings, so I use Eusing Registry Cleaner now. It’s free at: http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm . I only use it a couple times a year.

   As already mentioned, nobody NEEDS a registry cleaner. They only remove invalid or obsolete entries left behind after uninstallation or incorrect removal of software. They don’t "fix" anything, and they don’t "repair" anything, and they don’t "speed up" your computer. Anyone saying that it does, is full of BS! There are lots of spammers around gushing this babble. It’s just a scam. Like Registry Easy, which is red flagged by Web Of Trust: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/registryeasy.com

   Nobody needs a registry cleaner…they’re a gimmick, they have no effect on performance. They cannot repair or fix anything. All they can do is delete information and if they delete something needed then you’ll have problems.

   Download ccleaner it works well enough.
   Also you can give advanced system care a try.
   They are both free and do a decent job with cleaning the registry,
