SuperAntiSpyware. It’s amazing. Idk if it prevents against infections, but it definitely gets rid of the ones that are there. I’ve had two viruses on my computer and it got rid of them both times. There’s a version you can download for free.
Well first I will recommend adware it’s free. Also bit-defender. It’s an exspensive but if you download utorrent @ utorrent.com and go on thepiratebay.com and search for bitsoffender and download torrent and bam! Virus protection free and way better than avg 100%!!!
I use Comodo Internet Security suite, its completely free. I’m not sure if it has anti-spyware though. It has firewall and antivirus i think.

avast, it has a very powerful and easy to use interface. the only downside is that it takes a crap load to scan your computer (its being very very very thorough) and you have to make sure you click delete all so that you dont have to delete every file individually when its doing its bootscan check

It’s completely free.
It scans pretty quickly.
It lets me know if I’m trying to download a dodgy file.
And it tells me the second it detects spyware or a virus.
